We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Assistant to join our team at The Village at Northridge. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations and physical assets of our property.
Key Responsibilities- Complete Work Orders: Respond to and complete all work orders assigned to you in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepare Vacant Apartments: Complete the make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Maintenance Director.
- Manage Expenses: Work within established expense limits to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory controls to optimize cost-effective operations.
- Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and complete the Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure the longevity of our property's assets.
- Emergency Maintenance: Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
- Grounds Maintenance: Complete grounds work as directed by the Maintenance Director, including trash removal, curb and dumpster area cleaning, and landscaping maintenance.
- Special Projects: Participate in special projects and other responsibilities as determined by the Maintenance Director.
- Education: Less than high school education; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Regulatory Compliance: As required by local and state regulating bodies.
- Confidentiality: All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
