Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Technician to join our team at Cynet Systems.

Position Title: Mechanical Technician

Location: Alcoa, TN

Employment Type: Contract

Role Summary:

The Mechanical Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with established manufacturing protocols and procedures.
  • Participating in initiatives aimed at enhancing manufacturing techniques.
  • Collaborating closely with skilled trades personnel.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to production staff.
  • Assisting in the evaluation and justification of new machinery.
  • Coordinating with various manufacturing divisions to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
  • Complying with environmental health and safety standards, quality assurance, and continuous improvement policies.
  • Acting as a vital support resource for the Maintenance Department.
  • Responding to maintenance calls during shifts and on-call periods.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with mechanical systems and controls in industrial settings.
  • Proficient in problem-solving, manufacturing processes, AC systems, ControlLogix, and maintenance practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field from an accredited institution.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience with a solid understanding of manufacturing principles and processes.
  • Experience in diagnosing AC and DC drives, as well as Rockwell Control Logix series Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • A robust maintenance background.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with gas-fired combustion systems is a plus.
