We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist I to join our team at UNC Therapy Services. Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive and evidence-based rehabilitative care to patients, including patient assessment, evaluation, treatment, planning, and associated administrative tasks.
- Conduct both basic and complex diagnostic tests and evaluations, focusing on the treatment of mobility disorders and related impairments.
- Provide education and supervision to graduate Physical Therapy students and/or clinical fellows/residents.
- Analyze results from diagnostic and therapeutic testing to establish and modify patient goals and treatment programs.
- Employ current and advanced treatment techniques to offer high-quality, efficient rehabilitative services.
- Serve as a resource to North Carolina government departments and statewide health professionals in specialty areas.
- Participate in departmental meetings and in-service training to maintain high standards of care and service delivery.
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS.
- No prior experience required.
- Orthopedics.
- Sports Medicine.
- Manual Therapy.
- Application of therapeutic exercise and neuromuscular rehabilitation.
- Ability to evaluate and treat a diverse orthopedic, geriatric, and sports-medicine patient population.
- Advanced continuing education in the realm of orthopedics, sports medicine, geriatrics, and manual therapy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent documentation skills and use of complex EMR.
- Self-directed and independent learner.
- Motivated to seek out learning and growth opportunities in the realm of outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine.
- Ability to provide clinical instruction to physical therapy and medical students and residents.
