About the Role

The Intake Clinician is a key member of our clinical team, responsible for facilitating the admissions process and ensuring a smooth transition for patients. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the intake and admission process for incoming patients, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
  • Perform insurance benefit verifications and communicate the results to patients and their families.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop recommendations for care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective care planning.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to access resources and services independently.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient information and admissions processes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
  • One or more years of experience in mental/behavioral health, preferably in a clinical or observational capacity.
  • Experience in managed care pre-certification, level of care assessments, and utilization review.
  • Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • CPR and de-escalation certification required.
