About the RoleAs a Railway Project Manager with Olsson's Rail Track Team, you will be responsible for overseeing various tasks, including project execution, quality control reviews, scheduling, estimating, and potential travel. You will collaborate with other teams, perform and coordinate design aspects of projects, direct team members on design tasks, maintain project records, and coordinate with clients.
This role involves assisting with developing project scope of work and schedule, supporting marketing and business development efforts, coordinating with technical staff, and promoting efficiencies in producing quality work. The successful candidate will also be expected to assist in the management of railway projects and lead discipline design efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Manage railway projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and project management, to deliver projects that meet client requirements.
- Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
- Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their professional growth and development.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues, fostering open communication, trust, and respect.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in railway track design, project management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management, including planning, coordination, and execution.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Experience with software applications, such as Microstation or Autocad, is highly desirable.
