Position Overview:
As a Senior Nurse Anesthesia Supervisor, you will provide essential leadership and oversight to our team of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) at FDIHB. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality anesthesia care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the CRNA team, ensuring effective performance in anesthesia care and related patient services.
  • Supervise anesthesia personnel and assist in the recruitment and onboarding of qualified staff.
  • Conduct regular employee evaluations and ensure compliance with performance standards.
  • Plan and coordinate departmental activities, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Oversee the safe operation and quality assurance of anesthesia equipment and procedures.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, providing recommendations for staffing and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate the procurement of necessary supplies and equipment, optimizing resource utilization.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate staff schedules and manage on-call arrangements effectively.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with other healthcare services.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and tribal regulations.
  • Plan and conduct educational programs for staff development.
  • Represent the anesthesia department in various hospital committees and meetings.
  • Maintain strict adherence to policies regarding controlled substances.
  • Administer anesthesia across various patient demographics, ensuring safety and efficacy.
  • Conduct thorough preoperative assessments to determine patient suitability for anesthesia.
  • Engage with patients to explain anesthesia procedures and address any concerns.
  • Induce and manage anesthesia using various techniques, ensuring patient stability throughout procedures.
  • Monitor vital signs and support patients during critical phases of care.
  • Participate in post-anesthesia care, ensuring patients recover safely.
  • Evaluate and manage respiratory issues in critical care settings.
  • Document all anesthesia care in accordance with professional standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
  • Current certification as a National Board Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA).
  • Active, unrestricted CRNA license in any U.S. State or Territory.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
