Job Summary

Lamar Institute of Technology is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach various technical and workforce courses at our Livingston, Texas Polk County Education Center. As an adjunct instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students and contributing to the success of our institution.

Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in areas such as accounting, business, computer information systems, and more
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback
  • Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to departmental discussions
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in teaching and learning
Requirements
  • Possess a minimum of an associate degree in the teaching discipline or equivalent experience
  • Have good time management skills and be able to work independently
  • Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline or higher, experience teaching in higher education, and relevant certifications or industry knowledge
Compensation

Adjunct instructors are paid $800 per credit hour or paid hourly based on course type. Non-credit hourly rates may vary.
