Job Title: Personal Banker

At OceanFirst Bank, we are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Personal Banker to join our team at our Vineland, NJ branch.

Job Summary:

The Personal Banker will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing routine financial transactions, and promoting Bank products and services to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized service to customers, assisting with account maintenance, deposits, withdrawals, and other banking transactions.
  • Identify sales opportunities and promote Bank products and services to deepen and preserve customer relationships.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals for Bank products and referral goals for digital products.
  • Assist with branch office functions, including cash handling, night deposit vault, and ATM maintenance.
  • Participate in the Branch Incentive Program and ensure compliance with all regulations governing the banking industry.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a direct customer service capacity, with 1-year prior cash handling experience.
  • Prior experience in sales capacity, preferably in a retail banking environment.
  • Valid NMLS Registration required.
Working Conditions:

The Personal Banker will work in a fast-paced branch environment, interacting with customers and colleagues to provide exceptional service and meet sales goals.

Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
