About the Role

Zoox is seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to lead the development of our Operational Equipment team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for owning the design, development, and delivery of the Human-Machine Interfaces our Fleet Operations teams use to interact with and manually operate our robots for testing, service, and recovery scenarios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the test and operational equipment team's deliverables, including new development and continuous improvement & issue resolution for existing designs.
  • Develop processes and procedures with Fleet Operations and other stakeholders for field usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Report status, escalate support needs in cross-functional and leadership decision forums, and lead the internal team, cross-functional module and system, and supplier meetings.
  • Provide execution plans and track updates relevant to milestone execution with Zoox's Program Management Office.
  • Prioritize the Operational Equipment team activities and support new work acceptance, and staffing and budget planning with workload assessments and resource plans.
Requirements
  • BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline, with a passion for electric, autonomous mobility or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in leading engineering teams and/or program management.
  • Hands-on experience with project management/reporting tools (i.e., SmartSheet, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Strong track record in managing complex, cross-functional projects with customer engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in highly regulated industries (automotive, aerospace, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience in both hardware & software development projects.
  • Experience in leading projects from concept to production.
