Job Summary

As a Radiologic Technologist at Ephraim McDowell Health, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries by performing technical procedures to obtain high-quality radiographic images. Your expertise in recognized radiographical techniques will ensure minimal ionizing radiation is applied, while your attention to detail will contribute to accurate diagnoses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures to obtain images of various body parts
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens
  • Operate radiation exposure equipment, lab equipment, and computers
  • Work with specimen collection devices, including needles, syringes, and vacutainers
  • Maintain current certifications and registrations, including ARRT registration and KY Radiation Operators General Certificate
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technologists
  • Minimum of three years as a staff radiographer preferred
  • Prior experience and/or training in laboratory procedures preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification within the orientation period
  • ICD-9 coding experience preferred
