Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Manager to join our team at Jones Lang LaSalle IP, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems, including fire/life safety, mechanical, electrical, and digital systems.
  • Develop, review, and approve Critical Environment work efforts, including mission-critical statements for assigned facilities and systems.
  • Manage the critical environments team, including hiring, training, and personal development.
  • Identify maintenance objectives and incorporate them into a documented plan that includes preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory laws and guidelines related to the operation of the building's infrastructure.
  • Develop a CAPEX and OPEX plan to ensure the building's future capabilities are maintained.
  • Provide technical input and support to facility projects and modifications, including construction support, commissioning, and final acceptance.
  • Maintain all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the building.
  • Oversee the activities of contractors working within the building.
  • Prepare and report on CPIs to track team performance.
  • Ensure that the Data Center Work Rules are well-understood among building staff, engineers, tenants, and contractors.
  • Provide overall facility services in accordance with accounts' standard processes and procedures.
  • Manage the team, including staff development and planning, and execute staff succession and growth plans.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data center operations, facilities management, and leadership. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
