Funeral Ambassador

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Funeral Ambassador to join our team at Park Lawn Memorial Group, LLC. As a Funeral Ambassador, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our clients and their families receive exceptional service and support during their time of need.

• Client Service
  • Greets and directs client families and their guests to the correct chapel or service area.
  • Assists with serving the needs of client families, their guests, and other visitors during visitation and memorialization events.
  • Ensures refreshments are available to client families and their guests.
• Event Coordination
  • Directs visitors to guest books and distributes memorialization materials as needed.
  • Receives and places flowers in chapels.
  • Ensures public spaces are clean and prepared prior to and at the conclusion of scheduled services.
• Community Outreach
  • Actively serves as an ambassador of the business in the community to build trust and loyalty.
  • Represents the business in a professional, honest, and ethical manner at all times.
• Administrative Support
  • Assists with directing and/or transporting families and service attendees to and from service locations outside of the funeral home.
  • Maintains a professional personal appearance and demeanor while performing duties or representing the business.

• Education and Experience
  • Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • At least 1-year experience in funeral arranging preferred.
• Skills and Abilities
  • Able to read, write, and speak English fluently. Bilingual is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to empathize with client families and their guests and demonstrate tact and patience in emotionally charged situations.
  • Ability to actively respond to the requests of client families and their guests.

The Funeral Ambassador will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, interacting with clients, families, and staff on a regular basis. The position requires the ability to work independently with little or no supervision and to prioritize tasks effectively.

The physical demands of this position include regular standing, sitting, and walking, as well as occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. The Funeral Ambassador may be exposed to chemicals and/or blood-borne pathogens, but the risk is considered low.

Overtime may be necessary or required, and the position may require up to 10% out-of-area and overnight travel.
