We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated ADC Intern to join our team at Northstar Behavioral Health Network. As an ADC Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Client Services
- Provide individual therapy, group therapy, case management, and crisis intervention services to clients.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans that meet the individual needs of clients.
- Complete and document assessments in accordance with Northstar Behavioral Health Network policies and procedures.
- Participate in weekly case staffing meetings and supervision meetings.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping
- Document services provided in the appropriate clinical forms in Procentive and on paper.
- Ensure documentation is completed according to Northstar Behavioral Health Network policies and procedures and standards established by governing bodies.
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work cooperatively with outside agencies and referral sources.
- Provide court, Department of Corrections, and other referral sources with progress reports as requested.
- Professional Development
- Exhibit knowledge of core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education.
- Implement skills into all aspects of treatment.
- Be in internship/practicum course with an approved educational entity.
- CPR Certification or attain within 30 days.
- Must understand and follow Northstar Behavioral Health Network's Drug and Alcohol Policy.
- Must pass a State of Minnesota Background Check.
- Must possess a current Minnesota Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to use Google Drive and other relevant computer skills.
- Familiarity with Medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) Model.
- Motivational Interviewing Approach.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
- Familiarity with Procentive, Electronic Health Record System.
