Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated ADC Intern to join our team at Northstar Behavioral Health Network. As an ADC Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Services
    • Provide individual therapy, group therapy, case management, and crisis intervention services to clients.
    • Develop comprehensive treatment plans that meet the individual needs of clients.
    • Complete and document assessments in accordance with Northstar Behavioral Health Network policies and procedures.
    • Participate in weekly case staffing meetings and supervision meetings.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping
    • Document services provided in the appropriate clinical forms in Procentive and on paper.
    • Ensure documentation is completed according to Northstar Behavioral Health Network policies and procedures and standards established by governing bodies.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Work cooperatively with outside agencies and referral sources.
    • Provide court, Department of Corrections, and other referral sources with progress reports as requested.
  • Professional Development
    • Exhibit knowledge of core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education.
    • Implement skills into all aspects of treatment.
Requirements
  • Be in internship/practicum course with an approved educational entity.
  • CPR Certification or attain within 30 days.
  • Must understand and follow Northstar Behavioral Health Network's Drug and Alcohol Policy.
  • Must pass a State of Minnesota Background Check.
  • Must possess a current Minnesota Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to use Google Drive and other relevant computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) Model.
  • Motivational Interviewing Approach.
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
  • Familiarity with Procentive, Electronic Health Record System.
