Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Facility Control Systems Engineer to join our team in the US region. As a key member of our Global Industrial Development function, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing facility control systems for our battery manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct contractors to evaluate and approve facility control system designs
  • Manage vendor and supplier interactions for facility equipment procurement
  • Assist process engineers with instrumentation selection and placement
  • Develop standard HMI and SCADA designs using Ignition by Inductive Automation
  • Establish and maintain advanced monitoring protocols for facility performance and energy consumption
  • Interface with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure seamless collaboration
  • Commission and troubleshoot facility control systems
  • Train local facility operations and maintenance personnel
  • Conduct regular assessments to identify opportunities for system optimization and improvement
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in facility control systems design, implementation, and optimization
  • In-depth knowledge of facility industrial hardware and software, including advanced control strategies and system integration
  • Familiarity with protocols such as Profinet, ModbusTCP, Ethernet/IP, BACnet, OPC
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in PLC-controlled facilities
  • Experience with integrated facility safety systems and instrumentation selection
  • Strong understanding of network layout and infrastructure
