As a Surgical Scheduler for Ophthalmology Department, you will play a critical role in supporting the physician or advanced practice provider to obtain all necessary authorizations for surgery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with payors to obtain authorization for surgery
- Schedule surgeries and prepare necessary items for the procedure
- Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and up-to-date
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Prior administrative office experience in a physician office setting
- Knowledge and experience in payor authorization requirements
- CPR Certification through the American Heart Association
- NHA or NCCT Medical Assistant Certification preferred
