Job Overview

Position: Adult Services Nurse (RN/LPN)

Compensation: LPN $30.00-$33.00, RN $33.00-$36.75

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the medical requirements of individuals living in community settings, ensuring regular monitoring and follow-up on their health to maintain their safety and well-being. This includes facilitating timely medical, dental, visual, and psychiatric appointments.
  • Act as an advocate for individuals, families, and guardians, providing necessary support and guidance.
  • Ensure satisfaction among all stakeholders, including individuals, families, guardians, healthcare providers, referral sources, funding entities, and staff.
  • Maintain adherence to organizational policies and regulatory standards.
  • Review documentation from direct support staff and external professionals to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Guarantee compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for both the agency and consulting professionals (pharmacists, dieticians, therapists, etc.).
  • Deliver training to direct service staff on medication management, preventive healthcare, universal precautions, first aid, nutrition, and updates on policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN or 4 years as an LPN.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year of nursing experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
