Job Description:
- Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in a cardiovascular ICU setting, ensuring the highest level of care and attention to detail.
- Manage patient assignments based on acuity, utilizing critical thinking skills to handle complex clinical scenarios and maintain standards of care specific to cardiovascular complications and interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, engaging in continuous education and training to stay current with pediatric cardiovascular care practices.
- Care for patients ranging from neonatal through young adult, and occasionally adult patients with congenital heart disease, demonstrating proficiency in maintaining standards of care specific to cardiovascular complications and interventions.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to handle complex clinical scenarios, working in a 24-bed pediatric cardiac ICU and a 12-bed overflow unit, focusing on conditions such as congenital heart defects, postsurgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, and transplant cases.
