Public School-Based BCBA Opportunity

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team as a Public School-Based BCBA. This is a part-time opportunity to work with special education classrooms and teachers in developing teaching and behavior plans, data collection plans, and graphing systems for academic and behavioral goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school professionals to support class-wide and student-specific initiatives.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments, develop teaching plans, and data systems for academic and behavioral goals.
  • Complete direct observations and in-vivo modeling of behavior intervention and teaching plan components.
  • Plan, design, and conduct staff training for school staff as needed.
  • Summarize data on school-wide, class-wide, and student-specific initiatives and present summaries to stakeholders as needed.
Requirements:
  • Current, non-restricted certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • At least two years of verified BCBA experience providing behavioral consultative services to children with special needs.
  • First-hand experience conducting FBAs and creating Behavior Support Plans for students.
  • Experience teaching and supporting functional communication and social skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
  • Ability to travel to, from, and between schools.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of 25 pounds.
