This role is hosted by a leading company in chronic TPN infusion therapy services.

  • Job Summary: Provide pharmaceutical care to patients receiving intravenous therapy.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Review medical records, evaluate lab results, and assess patient overall health to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
    • Ensure prescriptions are properly authorized and meet legal and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance.
    • Maintain and update patient profiles in the pharmacy's system to ensure accurate and timely care.
    • Oversee inventory management, including ordering and maintaining adequate supply of infusion medications to prevent stockouts and ensure patient safety.
    • Ensure pharmaceuticals are accurately compounded and dispensed in accordance with company protocols to prevent errors and adverse reactions.
    • Respond to emergency situations, such as adverse drug reactions, line infections, and equipment malfunctions, to provide timely and effective care.
    • Document medication errors for Quality Assurance review to identify areas for improvement.
    • Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Manage pharmaceutical recalls in a safe and compliant manner to protect patient safety.
    • Participate in the company's Performance Improvement Program to identify areas for growth and development.
