Job Description:
As a Pharmacy Intern Grad at Walgreens, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Experience:
- Engage with customers and patients to provide personalized assistance and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Develop strong relationships with customers by anticipating their needs and offering proactive services.
- Support efforts to enhance customer experience by increasing focus on healthcare services, such as patient consultation, medication management, and wellness services.
Operations:
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and contraindications.
- Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
- Ensure the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, company policies, and standards.
People & Performance Management:
- Assist the Pharmacy Manager with staff hiring and training.
- Reinforce the direction of the Pharmacy Manager in staff performance by coaching and providing constructive feedback.
- Promote teamwork and motivate team members by establishing expectations and recognizing progress.
Training & Personal Development:
- Maintain current knowledge and skills related to pharmacy and healthcare by reading pharmacy-related journals and company publications.
- Obtain necessary certifications, education credits, and training as required by the Company.
- Seek professional development by monitoring performance and soliciting constructive feedback.
Requirements:
- Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date in position.
- Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
- Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
