Job Title: Lead Route Delivery Driver

GA Foods Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Route Delivery Driver to join our team in Covington, GA. As a key member of our delivery operations team, you will be responsible for managing driver staff, resolving route issues, and ensuring timely delivery of meals to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and resolve route issues to ensure efficient delivery of meals
  • Assign routing and provide driver assistance as needed to ensure timely delivery
  • Oversee fleet maintenance to ensure continuous delivery and minimize downtime
  • Assure meals are delivered according to contract and company specifications
  • Communicate with office and care center staff regarding shortage runs and customer service issues
  • Report deficiencies to regional management and agency(s) as required
  • Ensure food safety and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide support to management and staff as needed
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license with no DUI in the last 5 years and 0-4 current points
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate
  • 3 years prior route delivery/distribution experience preferred
  • Strong customer service background and distribution, supervisory, and team building skills
  • Good computer skills, including MS Office, Windows, and Excel
  • Current ServSafe Food Safety Certification
  • Familiarity with GPS and tablet technologies
