Pediatric Adult Med Surg Nurse Specialist

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a skilled Pediatric Adult Med Surg Nurse Specialist to join our team. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional care and support to patients and their families in a dynamic and compassionate environment.
Responsibilities- To obtain comprehensive nursing history, perform thorough assessments, and develop individualized plans of care for patients.
- Demonstrate expertise in performing head-to-toe assessments, reassessments, and prioritization during high-acuity situations.
- Provide patient care tailored to specific age groups, considering standard of care requirements.
- Maintain knowledge of medications and correct administration based on patient age and clinical condition.
- Follow established medication rights protocols to minimize errors.
- Assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills.
- Care for post-surgical patients, ensuring optimal recovery outcomes.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. Key qualifications include:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse License in the state of Maine (BSN preferred).
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
- Critical Care/ED experience desirable, with ACLS and PALS certifications.
- TNCC desired.
- One year of nursing experience preferred.
- Bilingual applicants encouraged.
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
