Job Summary:

The Community Service Federal Work-Study Program, in collaboration with Student Leadership and Involvement, seeks undergraduate and graduate students to serve as PSU Votes Ambassadors for the academic year. PSU Votes Ambassadors are an important part of Penn State's nonpartisan PSU Votes program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Education and outreach to peers on voter registration, voter education, and creating a voting plan.
  • Assist with planning, marketing, and implementation of PSU Votes initiatives.
  • Provide tabling support and other voter registration and education at events and locations on and off campus.
  • Research opportunities, develop programs, and provide brief presentations and workshops.

Requirements:

  • Commitment of 10-20 hours/week.
  • Starting pay rates for undergraduate students: $12.00/hour.
  • Starting pay rates for graduate students: $15.00/hour.
  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check.
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form.
  • FBI Criminal Background Check.
