Job Title: Associate Attorney - First Party Property Litigator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our team as a First Party Property Litigator. As a key member of our litigation team, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of litigation related to first-party property insurance claims.

Responsibilities:
  • Handling all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals related to first-party property insurance claims.
  • Providing legal counsel on first-party property insurance claims, including interpreting policy provisions and applicable laws.
  • Negotiating settlements and representing clients in mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure the efficient and effective execution of legal strategies.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends related to first-party property insurance and using this knowledge to provide proactive advice to clients.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, including regular communication and updates on case progress.
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the CA state bar and in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of litigation experience, with a focus on first-party property insurance.
  • Proven track record of successfully handling first-party property insurance claims, including litigation and negotiation of settlements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex legal issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software, including Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
