Position Overview
The RN in the Preoperative and PACU setting is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by utilizing the nursing process, adhering to the medical plan of care, and following organizational protocols. This role involves providing safe, effective, and patient-centered care throughout the perioperative period for diverse patient populations. The RN reports directly to the Manager of Peri-operative Services and plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission, vision, and values.
The ideal candidate will have experience in various specialties, including Orthopedics, ENT, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, and Urology.
Essential Qualifications:Requirements:
Must hold an unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in Preoperative and PACU settings is necessary Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is highly preferred Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS are mandatory Strong understanding of surgical procedures and the management of surgical patients is essential Knowledge of aseptic techniques and their application is required Ability to swiftly adapt to changes in patient conditions is crucial Excellent teamwork and communication skills with staff, patients, and physicians are essential. Required Experience:
