Job Summary

Barnes & Noble College is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Supervisor to join our team in General Merchandise. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of energy and enthusiasm to ensure the appeal of the selling floor and displays, as well as the availability of merchandise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a presence on the sales floor to ensure merchandise is displayed and organized to meet company standards.
  • Utilize department-specific technology to answer customer questions, recommend products, and process sales transactions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the academic and co-curricular community, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Clean and maintain the store and merchandise to maintain a visually appealing sales floor.
  • Assist with processing sales transactions, including cash, credit, and financial aid payments.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a retail setting, or completion of the Best Seller Program.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong customer service skills, with a high-energy and friendly personality.
  • Basic reading, writing, and accounting skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
