About the Job
  • This position involves operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
  • The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, with latitude for independent judgment and initiative.
  • Patient care and safety are top priorities, ensuring that quality diagnostic services are provided using efficient and safe processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate imaging and other equipment devices to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Interview patients to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures and address their concerns.
  • Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
  • Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
Requirements
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a MRI Technologist, with at least twenty hours per week of continuous recent experience.
  • Full proficiency in all duties required of a MRI Technologist II, including complex MRI procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to learn relevant applications and technologies related to the position.
  • Two years of hospital experience in a clinical area.
