Overview:

The Coating Technician plays a vital role within the coating facility, reporting directly to the Shift Foreman. This position encompasses various operational duties essential for the efficient functioning of the coating plant. Key responsibilities include thermocleaning, pre-baking, final baking, bullet nosing, blasting operations, priming, topcoating, and other designated tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute coating processes in accordance with established protocols.
  • Uphold safety and quality standards in all assigned responsibilities.
  • Monitor control points to ensure process and product integrity.
  • Prepare equipment as per work order requirements.
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors to ensure safe operations.
  • Perform quality assessments throughout the production cycle.
  • Notify supervisors of any operational issues.
  • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and Quality Management System (QMS) policies.
  • Document production metrics as directed.
  • Undertake additional job functions as necessary.

Job Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through relevant experience.
  • Ability to foresee and address potential challenges.
  • Self-driven with a strong emphasis on productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in coating and sandblasting is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience is desirable.
