Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medication services and provide direct care to residents, ensuring a positive and supportive atmosphere.
  • Assist residents with daily living tasks, including housekeeping and laundry, while promoting their dignity and independence.
  • Oversee the medication room operations, adhering to directives from the Health Services Director (HSD) and complying with state regulations.
  • Document medication and treatment services accurately, including any omissions, in residents' clinical records.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and families regarding medication and care services.
  • Support residents during mealtimes, assist with dining room maintenance, and ensure a pleasant dining experience.
  • Utilize proper techniques for lifting and transporting residents, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

A minimum of one year of experience in personal care for older adults is preferred, or as mandated by state regulations. Candidates must possess the required state certification for medication administration and complete any necessary training requirements. Current CPR certification, First Aid training, and a Food Handlers permit are also required. A high school diploma or GED is essential, along with equivalent knowledge and skills gained through education and experience.
