Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Public Health Professional to join our team in the NYC Health Department's Bureau of Hepatitis, HIV, and STI. The ideal candidate will have experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting interviews with sampled persons using standard MMP questionnaire, making appropriate referrals for persons needing linkage to HIV care and partner services, and timely recording all activities in project databases.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a critical public health initiative aimed at ending HIV transmission, promoting the health of all New Yorkers with or vulnerable to HIV, reducing HIV-related inequities, and combating stigma.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews with sampled persons using standard MMP questionnaire
  • Make appropriate referrals for persons needing linkage to HIV care and partner services
  • Timely record all activities in project databases
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by twelve semester credits in health education, or in health, social or biological sciences;
  • At least one year of experience as a Public Health Adviser, Assignment Level I, or at least one additional year of experience as described in Qualification Requirement "2" above;
Salary

$67,364 - $104,238 per year (salary may vary based on experience)
