We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at MedTeam Staffing. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in the healthcare process by collecting and processing blood samples for laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood samples from patients using various techniques, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
- Label and process specimens according to established procedures, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to the laboratory.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to OSHA and DEP regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and laboratory staff to ensure smooth specimen collection and processing.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest phlebotomy techniques and procedures.
- Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
- Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School Diploma or GED.
