Key Responsibilities:- Prepares the dining area by arranging tables and setting up decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
- Ensures the safety of the establishment and guests by following sanitation, safety, and alcohol service regulations. Assists guests in choosing food and drinks by presenting the menu, suggesting cocktails and aperitifs, explaining chef's specialties, identifying suitable wines, and addressing inquiries about food preparation.
- Communicates orders to the bar and kitchen by accurately recording guests' selections and noting any special dietary requirements or requests.
- Keeps kitchen staff updated on the timing of meal service.
- Verifies guests' identification to ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.
- Maintains a well-stocked bar by managing liquor, garnishes, and glassware.
- Demonstrates proficiency in mixing a wide range of beverages.
- Exhibits multitasking abilities and operates bar equipment, particularly in a technologically advanced environment.
- Provides friendly and attentive service to all guests.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to completing tasks thoroughly.
- Adheres to a strong Code of Ethics.
- Handles challenging situations with professionalism.
- Maintains a pleasant demeanor and collaborates effectively with colleagues, guests, and supervisors.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma
RBS Certification
Minimum of 2 years of experience in bartending within a resort setting.
Skills & Abilities:
Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking both English and Spanish.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift weights ranging from 30 to 50 pounds.
Willingness to work during weekends and holidays.
