Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Nursing Supervisor RN to join our team at Sutter Health. This role will oversee the daily operations of our facility, ensuring that patient care services are delivered in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise personnel in all departments, ensuring that hospital policies and procedures are properly interpreted and applied.
  • Provide functional guidance to all units, serving as a resource for decision-making concerning patient care services, non-clinical services, and staffing.
  • Collaborate with hospital departments, agencies, and physicians to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Joint Commission, Department of Health Services, Title 22, CMA, and OSHA.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 18 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
  • 18 years of demonstrated progressive charge or personnel management experience.
  • 18 years of demonstrated experience utilizing effective interpersonal communications, supervisorial, organizational, and priority setting skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of nursing for all inpatient settings, emergency departments, surgical services, and ambulatory care settings.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clinical areas with special emphasis on hospital and nursing standards of patient care.
Working Conditions

This position may regularly work with hazardous drugs, as identified by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.
