Traditional Labor Law Associate

Join Jackson Lewis P.C., a leading labor and employment law firm, as a Traditional Labor Law Associate in our Orange County, CA office.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced attorney to represent employers in traditional labor matters, including union organizing, collective bargaining, and unfair labor practice proceedings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor and employment law, with experience in litigation and advice work. A JD from an ABA-accredited law school and California Bar Admission are required.

We offer a competitive salary range of $215,500 - $232,500, depending on experience and qualifications. Our firm values diversity and inclusion, and we strive to create an environment where diverse employees want to work and can flourish professionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent employers in traditional labor matters, including union organizing, collective bargaining, and unfair labor practice proceedings.
  • Provide legal advice to employers on federal and California wage and hour issues, leave management, disability accommodating issues, and other workplace issues.
  • Review handbooks, policies, and forms for compliance with federal and state law.
  • Conduct management training on labor relations, federal and California workplace issues, and harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned.

Requirements:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • 4-6 years of experience in litigation or advice work as an attorney.
  • Traditional labor experience preferred.
  • Federal and/or California advice and counsel work preferred.
  • CA Bar Admission.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and project management skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish, is preferred but not required.
