About the Role
Burleson St. Joseph Manor is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nutrition Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing established departmental operational systems, catering to the operational requirements of staff, and contributing to the creation of new operational systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the storeroom clerk and cooks to ensure the operational needs of these roles are met.
- Collaborate with the clerk to implement and uphold infection control practices, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and organized storage facility.
- Communicate with patients, staff, and customers regarding the quality of services provided by Nutrition Services staff, and convey this data to the management team or staff as needed.
- Maintain optimal staffing levels for daily requirements while emphasizing cost-efficiency. Recruit, hire, and oversee the performance of staff. Assign tasks and workloads, adapting to changing priorities in daily operations.
- Participate in the menu development process for patient, cafeteria, and catering services.
Requirements
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in food services, including two (2) years in hospital nutrition.
- Possession of an Associate of Arts degree.
- Mandatory certifications include Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, with the expectation of obtaining certification within 12 months of hire, unless otherwise dictated by State or local health regulations.
- Current certification as a ServSafe Food Protection Manager, along with ServSafe Allergen certifications obtained within the past 12 months.
