AmeriWound is seeking an experienced Physician or Advanced Practice Provider to join our team as a wound care specialist. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality wound care services in long-term care facilities, working closely with skilled nursing facility staff and patients.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, including proficiency in documenting electronic medical records (EMRs) using software such as Aprima. They will also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build rapport with facility staff and patients.
This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of $200,000-$220,000 annually, depending on provider availability, patient volume, and documentation for reimbursement. Our team provides comprehensive training and support to ensure our providers succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rounding weekly at assigned facilities within the territory
- Diagnosing patient conditions via physical examination and/or telemedicine
- Performing medical procedures, such as debridement, as necessary
- Communicating and collaborating with facility clinical staff on findings and treatments
- Documenting each patient encounter in EMR - APRIMA and maintaining patient medical records on company-assigned laptop computers
Qualifications:
- MD, DO, PA, CRNP licensure
- Board Certified/Board Eligible
- Active, unrestricted state medical license
- DEA license
- Valid driver's license
