Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Perinatal Nurse to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Perinatal Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to mothers and newborns in our Perinatal Unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized patient care to mothers and newborns, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document patient information.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Perinatal RN Residency or recent experience in a Perinatal Setting preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • RN License in state of employment or compact.
  • BLS required.
  • Current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or AWHONN courses.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Current NRP certification.
