About the Job

As an Electrical Systems Designer at Solvenow Inc., you will be responsible for creating complex designs of electric master system plans, power systems, protection, and generation models. You will perform studies of power systems and electrical calculations for lighting simulations, lighting layouts, communications, fire alarm, security, and other similar calculations. Your expertise in computer-assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices will be essential in developing white papers and technical documentation to support the firm's technical knowledge management (TKM).

Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed designs for high voltage substation projects through 345kV
  • Design protective relay schemes, relay schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Specify equipment and hardware, including SCADA/RTU components
  • Design substation grounding grid and lightning protection
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline
  • 3 years of related experience
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Expert knowledge of CADD 3D and 4D software and practices
  • Solid knowledge of engineer principles of design
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
