We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at CoreCivic, a leading provider of correctional healthcare services. As a Correctional Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care to inmates in a correctional setting.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care of inmates. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that inmates receive comprehensive care, including medical, dental, and mental health services.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing medical procedures, and developing individualized care plans.
- Assess and evaluate the health status of inmates, identifying potential health risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure that inmates receive comprehensive care, including medical, dental, and mental health services.
- Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided to inmates.
- Graduate from an accredited college or university with a degree in nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment.
- Three (3) years of professional experience in correctional nursing or a related field.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- A valid driver's license.
