About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Via Christi. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take radiologic films to provide quality images to physicians for diagnosis of medical problems.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging and select exposure factors accurately.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Observe patients during procedures and report abnormal activity.
  • Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Prevent patients from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and other areas.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 3 months of hire date required.
  • Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts within 3 months of hire date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
