Job Summary

The Manor at Blue Water Bay is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their maximum potential and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and Evaluate Residents: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' functional levels and capabilities to identify areas of need and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized treatment plans that address residents' specific needs and goals, with a focus on improving their ability to perform daily living activities.
  • Provide Occupational Therapy Services: Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to residents, including exercises, activities, and interventions designed to promote independence and functional ability.
  • Document Progress and Communicate with Team Members: Accurately and thoroughly document residents' progress and communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Supervise and Train Rehabilitation Aides: Provide guidance and supervision to rehabilitation aides to ensure they are providing high-quality care and support to residents.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BS or MS-Occupational Therapy) and current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
  • Experience: One year of experience in a healthcare setting, with a preference for long-term care experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and a patient-centered approach.
