Position Summary:

As an Independent Optometrist, you will take a leading role in patient care with respect to eye and vision care as well as general health and well-being. You will have the autonomy to establish your days of practice, hours of operation, patient schedule, and fee schedule. You will also have the opportunity to opt into equipment, instrumentation, administrative, and/or Opt-Tech support services for a fair market value.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality eye care services to patients
  • Establish and maintain a private practice within a Walmart store
  • Manage patient schedules and fee structures
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school
  • Valid state optometry license
  • General Liability Certificate
  • Professional Liability Insurance Certificate

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) from an accredited school
  • Experience in private practice or similar setting
