Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Laborer Ship Provisioning to join our team at VersAbility Resources. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for lifting and loading, organizing and provisioning ships with necessary supplies and equipment in the Norfolk area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with loading and unloading provisions unto various naval ships.
  • Ensure accurate counting and recording of all incoming and outgoing items.
  • Sort, organize, and label supplies and equipment in designated storage areas.
  • Pack and secure supplies for safe transportation.
  • Prepare orders and validate accuracy against shipping instructions and documentation.
  • Conduct inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and assist with inventory management.
  • Complete and maintain paperwork and records related to shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Follow proper safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to ensure a smooth operation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Proven work experience as a laborer or in a similar role is a plus.
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and maintenance procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
