Adult Crossing Guard

We are seeking a highly responsible and safety-conscious individual to join our team as an Adult Crossing Guard. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe passage of students across busy streets, working closely with local law enforcement to maintain a safe and orderly environment.

• Monitor student behavior at traffic intersections and escort children across the street when coming and going from school
• Assure student safety as they cross, adhering to established safety procedures
• Work cooperatively with local police department to understand and administer traffic safety rules
• Report vehicles not obeying signals and assist in first aid when children are injured
• Adhere to established safety procedures and perform related duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid First Aid Certificate issued by an authorized agency
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment, subject to seasonal heat and cold or adverse weather conditions
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

This position requires working in an outdoor environment, subject to seasonal heat and cold or adverse weather conditions. The successful candidate must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
