We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Operator II to join our team at Scott Manufacturing Solutions, Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating various metalworking equipment to cut, shape, and fabricate sheet metal components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate shears, punch presses, and bending equipment to cut and shape sheet metal
- Measure and prepare sheet metal for work
- Measure surface to determine proper length, width, thickness, and coverage required for the job
- Operate manual and computerized press brakes to bend corners in sheet metal
- Operate notcher to make open or closed cuts for doors, sides, roofs, and small parts
- Fabricate plastic barriers using appropriate tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 months of related experience or training
- Ability to lift heavy materials and tools
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience working with machinery such as press brakes and shears
