Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Primary Care Physician to join our team at UF Health Central Florida. As a Primary Care Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing direct patient care, and working collaboratively with members of the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
- Work collaboratively with members of the healthcare team, including pharmacists, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff.
- Review incoming reports and follow up in a timely manner.
- Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions.
- Refer patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
- Manage the daily operations of a specific medical program or patient care unit.
- Direct and coordinate the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
- Participate in specified health promotion, education, and/or prevention programs.
- Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical and operational meetings as requested.
Requirements
- Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes.
- Four years of appropriate experience, or completion of a residency program may substitute for the required experience.
- Specialty License or Certification; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty; Certification/Licensure in the state of Florida and Federal DEA Certification.
