MasTec Communications Group is a leading national infrastructure construction company operating throughout the United States. We specialize in providing comprehensive telecommunications services, including cell tower construction, RF engineering, broadband fiber optic cable installation, OSP engineering, wireline construction, and emergency maintenance services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop cost-efficient fiber network route designs in accordance with customer specifications and guidelines.
- Analyze local and wide area network systems to identify conflicts with existing facilities.
- Collaborate with internal GIS and CAD teams to produce required documentation for application packages.
- Coordinate with project teams for forecasting, scheduling, resources management, and quality assurance.
- Review project deliverables for accuracy and apprise project management teams of risks, issues, and recommended mitigations.
- Work in tandem with various managers across the project to identify scope creep, manage change orders, and complete routine billing.
- Ensure the integrity of the customer access network is maintained and provides support for the deployment of access technologies.
- Sound OSP engineering experience deploying fiber optic networks.
- Knowledge of engineering principles within OSP job-related functional areas, including general practices, procedures, and industry standards.
- Experience working all aspects of telecom with knowledge of NESC, NEC, and OSHA standards.
- Knowledge of engineering tools, including ARAMIS and AutoCAD platforms.
- Proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Google Sheets, and Google Drive.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- Basic operating knowledge of CAD systems.
- Qualify on pre-employment screening.
