Work as a Critical Care Nurse in Our State-of-the-Art Facility

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Surgical ICU at Trident Medical Center. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients with complex medical conditions.

About the Job:

  • Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate treatment plans for critically ill patients.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • Manage the efficient flow of patients through screening, preparation, and general nursing care.
  • Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
  • Administer medications according to physician orders.
  • Review and maintain patient records, including test results and examination notes.
  • Respond to incoming phone calls and refer calls to other team members when necessary.

About You:

  • A minimum of one year of acute surgical critical care nursing experience is required.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is mandatory.
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider certification is preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer date.
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification must be completed within 90 days of hire or transfer date.
