Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy to improve speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate students, families, and healthcare professionals on speech-language disorders and therapy techniques.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology and incorporate evidence-based practices into clinical work.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records and reports.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility for certification.
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Previous clinical experience preferred, particularly in diagnosing and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy for individuals with speech and language challenges.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
