Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Echo Technologist Lead to join our team at Chi. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Echo / Imaging departments and ensuring the highest level of patient care and diagnostic accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead the Echo / Imaging departments in the absence of the manager of operations
    • Coordinate staff and ensure efficient workflow
    • Train new staff and students
  • Diagnostic Imaging
    • Perform Echocardiograms, Stress Echo's, and assist in TEE's exams on patients
    • Coordinate and manage the department's diagnostic imaging equipment
    • Ensure image quality is maintained through quality control and quality assurance techniques
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Collaborate with the supervisor to ensure all exams are completed and financial requirements are met
    • Communicate with Patient Transportation, Nursing Units, Physician Offices, and other diagnostic areas to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure patient safety and comfort during exams
    • Use independent judgment to differentiate between normal and pathological findings
    • Assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of patients during exams
  • Education and Training
    • Provide training and education to technical, nursing, and medical staff
    • Promote staff development and advancement
  • Research and Development
    • Coordinate departmental research activities
    • Ensure protocol criteria are met
    • Resource person for clinical research, technical lectures, and symposiums
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Enter diagnostic examination charges and codes into the system
    • Obtain necessary written consent for procedures
    • Obtain patient history, perform physical assessment, and position patients for exams
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure
    • Associate's Degree or one year certificate as Registry in Cardiac Sonography
    • Registered by American Diagnostic Registry for Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
    • Registered as RDCS or Registered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as RCS or American Registry for Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), Advanced Registry in either CT, MR, IR
  • Experience
    • Five (5) years of related experience
